Where did all my hard drive space go?

Have you ever wanted to delete unwanted files from your Mac and you don't really know where to begin? Sure you can blame iTunes and all the videos you have. However, using tools such as Disk Inventory X, may give you another perspective at what is taking space in your hard disk.

In a nutshell, Disk Inventory X is a free application which allows you to quickly view what's taking so much space in your hard disk. Disk Inventory X, also allows you to view external and remote drives which are connected to your Mac via LAN, Firewire and USB cable.

So, let's say you want to clear out some space from your external remote disk. On the left you have the drive's directory tree and on the right you have the graphical representation of the files. From this map you can right click and delete files you no longer need. This way you can quickly clear gigabytes of disk space with one single click.

I have been using Disk Inventory X for a few days and I have gained 76 GBs of hard disk space. It's so much easier to look at files in a graphic way than having to look for file information every time.

Of course you don't have to take my word for it . Try Disk Inventory X today!
